Intensity is for freaks!

The top of the mountain

Heavy as gold and Giant tall.
On one side the cities people little like ants mean nothing to me
If I jump I am confident my fall will kill three
On the opposite end the lights blink red white blue over the open sea
This was not how it looked when I grew up
The storm which brews hides the moon
And the stars
This doesn’t disconcern me
Like the fright of eternity
Or what Catholics told me
Is the terrible journey towards god.
At the moment all the light I can see is man-made
So where is this god?
Way up high in that empty sky
If you get too close to the sun it will always burn you
Which is why people always keep there distance
From those who shine the brightest
The road to success is the middle-way that just manages to stand out a little.
Enough to catch your eye.
But you don’t have to go and blind everyone!

This can not be sustained for very long
I hurtle my teacup
And it shatters to meet the ground
As always the wind will not carry it
It’s bits and pieces will soon be stepped on by a rabbit or a deer
Who’s sores surely must get infected
And cause pain
And death
And my trip to the top of the mountain
Which once served to solidify life’s meaning
Has made the world a worse place.
